The biggest skill research taught me: the ability to focus on hard, unsolved problems every day — even when you're not making visible progress. My masters thesis at IIIT Hyderabad was on distributed cryptography, designing perfectly secure message transmission protocols in directed networks tolerating dual failures.

Masters thesis
Designed PSMT (Perfectly Secure Message Transmission) protocols for directed networks with dual failures. Presented at ICDCN 2019. The work required months of incremental progress on problems with no obvious short-term payoff — which turned out to be excellent training for everything that came after.
