I grew up in a small town in India, and have been building my own projects since college — compilers, Android apps, a clothes-rental startup, cryptography research, and 6+ years shipping at scale at Qualcomm and Microsoft.   • Built product, backend, governed RAG pipeline, and auth end-to-end; first user interviews now shaping a root-cause biomarker benchmarking roadmap

Primary stakeholder for Azure SQL DB Serverless — led end-to-end from design through rollout and on-call.

  • Led logical pause/resume redesign: 60% reduction in workflow latency for serverless customers; improved login latency and control-plane efficiency across 60+ regions
  • Shipped SQL DB for Free and SQL in Microsoft Fabric integrations with Power BI
  • Built observability and auto-mitigation runners for on-call; found and fixed billing bugs (under/over-billing)
  • Co-authored SIGMOD 2024 team paper on proactive resource pause/resume
  • Fastest promotion to Senior on the team; tech lead for a group of 6

  • Built auto-scaling storage for write-heavy customers migrating to Hyperscale
  • Automated reliable rollouts to Hyperscale's storage engine; implemented billing logic to prevent incorrect charges during migration
  • Management service committer; production incident mitigation and root-cause analysis

Software Engineer

Qualcomm · Hyderabad

Hardware Digital Rights Management on Windows chipsets.

  • Single-handedly enabled HWDRM on Qualcomm's newest chipsets — integrated Microsoft PlayReady Porting Kit 4.0
  • Built Hardware Key Manager (HWKM) so keys are never stored in clear text, even inside the security chip
  • Found and fixed a Netflix playback glitch affecting ~2% of chipsets worldwide
