I build AI products in health, after 7 years of shipping, from Qualcomm and Microsoft-scale systems to startups of my own.

At Microsoft I designed more efficient logical pause and resume paths for Azure SQL Serverless, infrastructure powering on the order of ~3.5 million serverless databases, improving login latency and reducing control-plane COGS (SIGMOD '24 co-author). I'm now solo-building Folia, a research-backed PCOS companion in private beta, and WhatIEatInADay, an AI meal tracker I use every day.

Open to founding / early engineer roles · SF Bay Area · Also building Folia

Highlights

The stories that don't fit the cards above.

  • Netflix playback fix at Qualcomm, one-line platform change after tracing a green-screen bug across the secure playback stack; ~2% of affected users worldwide
  • Published cryptography research, ICDCN 2019 paper and a masters thesis on perfectly secure message transmission at IIIT Hyderabad
  • First startup straight out of college, Fashion Galli: 700+ garment catalogue, ~70 rentals end-to-end, my bedroom as the warehouse
  • Bluetooth classroom chat, classmates messaged over Bluetooth within classroom range; no data plan needed
  • ICPC Asia top 50, competing solo, registered without a real team, cleared regionals during semester exams, finished top 50 across South Asia
  • Built a compiler that skipped the final, one-month LLVM project with a partner; professor waived the exam when lexer, parser, and codegen all worked

What I'm looking for

I'm looking to join an early-stage team as a founding or early engineer, owning product surface area end-to-end, close to users. My sweet spot is AI-native products in health, biology, and human wellbeing: messy domains, high trust requirements, real-world complexity.

I'm also building Folia independently. I'm open to joining a team, cofounding, or both, if the problem and people are right.

Building something ambitious? I'd love to hear about it, I reply within a day.
